The Kołobrzeg Institute of Culture and Promotion invites you to a unique socio-cultural project "Migrations". This is an initiative that aims to discover the roots of the inhabitants of Kołobrzeg and show how cultural diversity has influenced the identity of the city.
The project will create a migration map, created by the residents themselves, who will mark the places of origin of their ancestors. Each "migration thread" will tell a personal story, supplemented by entries in the Book of Journeys. The project will be accompanied by a series of educational workshops in September and October at the Fuse Tower, which will allow for the exploration of the history, traditions and customs of the ancestors.
How to participate in the project?
All you need to do is come to the Fuse Tower from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 18 p.m. and mark on the map on the first floor the place where you or your members come from and sign the Travel Book. You can do this by sending information via e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. To view it, you must enable JavaScript in your browser.. You can also register this way for the workshops that will be held in September and October.
The goal is not only to create a map, but also to build a local identity and community. We believe that the project will move residents, inspire action and open new spaces for conversation about who we are and where we come from.
As part of the project, thematic workshops will be held at the Fuse Tower in September and October 2025. The workshops are intended to unite residents, enrich their knowledge of history and culture, and create a lasting legacy for future generations.
We encourage you to participate and support the project, which can become a showcase for Kołobrzeg on its way to the title of Polish Capital of Culture 2028.
The project received funding in the amount of PLN 50 from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the Cultural Education 2025 program.
